Ayushman card not working or treatment refused
The Ayushman card is not accepted at the hospital, the family is not found on the list, or cash is demanded despite the card.

Who is responsible
The Ayushman card is a cashless cover and a hospital cannot demand money where the card is valid, so a refusal is a matter for the hospital to explain in writing. The usual cause is that the family is not found in the beneficiary list, which can be due to a name spelling difference, an Aadhaar seeding issue or a pending state enrolment, and the hospital's own check is what identifies which.
Important condition: Packages under the scheme and the empanelment of a hospital are revised by the government, and not every private hospital is empanelled; check before assuming a refusal was wrong.
