Report a boundary dispute to the Amin or Circle Officer of the revenue circle and request a joint inspection and measurement of the disputed strip.
Who is responsible
A boundary or hadd dispute between neighbours is examined by the revenue field official through measurement and an inspection report; if the parties do not agree on the result, the matter proceeds to the competent revenue court. Do not attempt to physically move a boundary marker.
Important condition: Minor differences in a khasra or map may be clerical; obtain the current survey record before starting proceedings, because an old map can mislead the claim.
