A map that shows the wrong plot, area or boundary is corrected through the survey process by the Settlement Officer of the anchal.

For a wrong or outdated map or bhunaksha entry, request a fresh map from the Settlement Officer of the anchal through the revenue office.

Who is responsible

The map or bhunaksha is prepared and corrected by the Settlement Officer during survey operations. A correction to a map is a technical process that follows the survey cycle, so the request should be recorded and the current map obtained for any proceeding that depends on it.

Important condition: Map correction depends on the survey being due in that area; where a fresh survey has not been conducted, the department may only be able to certify the old map.
