Who is responsible
A trunk sewer and a house connection are two different things: the trunk line and treatment are PHED's responsibility, while the house connection and the street sewer in a municipal area are handled by the municipal body. Reporting whether the problem is a blocked main or a missing house tap decides who acts.
Important condition: Sewerage networks are laid differently in different cities, and some colonies are still on septic tanks; confirm whether a sewer exists at your location before reporting a missing connection.
