A correction to a name, date of birth or address in an issued certificate is a separate service from a fresh application, and it needs the original certificate plus a document that proves the correct particulars — for example, a school record for a date of birth or a previous certificate for a spelling correction. A fresh application does not correct an already issued certificate.
