Who is responsible
A residence certificate in Bihar is issued by the revenue circle of the area where the applicant resides, after checking the residence. It is required for school admission, post-matric scholarship and several state services, and the validity period set by revenue rules should be checked because many schemes ask for a certificate issued within a stated number of months.
Important condition: Residence rules can require a minimum period of stay and can treat a student differently from a parent, so read the current rule for your case.
