Who is responsible
An income certificate in Bihar is issued annually by the revenue circle after an enquiry of the family's income, and must usually be dated within the current financial year to be accepted for a scholarship or scheme. Applying early in the year avoids a certificate that is out of date when the scheme asks for it.
Important condition: The income ceiling and the list of accepted income sources differ by purpose; check the criterion of the specific scholarship or scheme before applying.
